Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the role

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician at the Los Angeles brewery, you will keep high‑speed brewing, packaging and utilities equipment running smoothly. Your mechanical instincts and troubleshooting skills will directly impact production uptime, quality and consistency each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair machinery, including disassembly, gearbox overhauls and bearing/bushing replacements.
• Perform mechanical tasks such as motor and gearbox replacements, valve and pump maintenance, hydraulics servicing and lube routing.
• Read and interpret equipment schematics and manuals for major brewing equipment.
• Follow plant safety, sanitation and SOP requirements while participating in structured work planning.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives and analyze equipment data for maintenance decisions.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; 3+ years of industrial mechanical experience (or two‑year technical degree).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team.
• Knowledge of safety policies, LOTO and confined‑space entry.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, twist and lift up to 50 lb; work in varying brewery temperatures.
• Availability for rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime.

Required skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Gearbox overhauls and bearing/bushing replacement.
• Motor, valve and pump maintenance.
• Hydraulics servicing and lubrication routing.
• Reading schematics and equipment manuals.
• Precision machining and welding (preferred).
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
