Indirect Tax Accountant

About the role

Bosch Group is looking for an Indirect Tax Accountant to join its finance team in Oakbrook Terrace. The role focuses on US and Canadian indirect tax compliance, process improvement and tax technology initiatives, ensuring accurate reporting and efficient operations across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Complete timely indirect tax compliance and reporting for US state and local sales, use, gross receipts, property taxes, Canadian GST, VAT and other obligations.
• Lead nexus determination, registrations and renewals for sales and use tax.
• Manage indirect tax payments, notices, correspondence and exemption certificate systems.
• Prepare Form W‑9 and annual federal Form 1099 reporting.
• Drive process‑standardisation and automation initiatives within the indirect tax function.
• Support implementation of tax policies, procedures and technology solutions.
• Assist with indirect tax audits and provide technical research and analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3+ years of corporate experience or experience at a national/regional accounting or indirect tax firm.
• 3+ years of US indirect tax compliance, audit and research experience.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with indirect tax systems and ERP.
• Strong communication skills and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

• Vertex indirect tax software.
• SAP ERP system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modelling).
• Data analytics, desktop automation, data visualization and AI tools.
