Indirect Commodity Manager – Procurement Leader

About the role

The Indirect Commodity Manager will lead sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories that support our maritime autonomy operations. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to drive cost savings, ensure supplier performance, and mitigate risk across facilities, IT, MRO, professional services, logistics, and capital equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for indirect commodities to optimize cost, quality, and service.
• Lead sourcing initiatives, including supplier identification, RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier selection.
• Manage supplier relationships to align with business needs, performance expectations, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, finance, IT, HR, and facilities to deliver procurement solutions.
• Analyze market trends and supply‑base dynamics to identify sourcing opportunities.
• Integrate supplier diversity, risk management, and sustainability into sourcing strategies.
• Drive total cost of ownership improvements through negotiation and value engineering.
• Monitor performance against savings, quality, and service metrics.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and contract management activities.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives within indirect procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (Master’s or CPSM/CPIM preferred).
• 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply‑chain experience focused on indirect commodities.
• Strong negotiation and contract‑management capabilities.
• Experience managing a diverse supplier base across multiple categories.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements.
