Import/Export Specialist – International Logistics

About the role

The Import/Export Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end flow of Nestlé Health Science’s ocean, air and surface shipments to and from foreign destinations. Working closely with internal teams and external logistics partners, the role ensures timely, cost‑effective movement of international cargo while mitigating risks.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to limit supply‑chain costs and risks while driving process improvements.
• Manage relationships with import/export vendors, conduct periodic performance reviews, and lead RFPs for logistics services.
• Determine annual container forecasts, select preferred carriers, and allocate space with steamship lines.
• Handle claims for damages, analyze port costs, and implement best practices to reduce delays and charges.
• Serve as the internal subject‑matter expert on international logistics trends and processes.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in international logistics, including work with port terminals, drayage carriers, and steamship lines.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
