Immigration Attorney

About the role

Lawhive is seeking an Immigration Attorney to lead a high‑volume portfolio of family and small‑business immigration matters. The role blends hands‑on legal work with collaboration on Lawhive’s AI‑driven platform, shaping product features that reflect real‑world practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end immigration cases, including family petitions, adjustments of status, naturalization, fiancé, TN, and E‑2 visas.
• Provide clear legal advice on merits, outcomes, and next steps for clients.
• Prepare and file a wide range of U.S. visa applications.
• Define limited‑scope product offerings for small‑business and family immigration needs.
• Partner with product and engineering teams as a subject‑matter expert, reviewing features, participating in user testing, and advising on edge cases and regulatory considerations.
• Collaborate with co‑counsel for matters requiring local or in‑person representation.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling high‑volume immigration matters for families and small businesses.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a large caseload.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal concepts clearly.
• Track record of successful client outcomes in immigration law.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of U.S. immigration statutes and procedures.
• Experience preparing and filing family‑based and employment‑based visa petitions.
• Ability to assess risk, regulatory considerations, and edge cases.
