About the role

The Georgia Department of Driver Services is hiring an Identity & Driver Credential Specialist 1 (MSA) to work at its Marietta office. In this full‑time position you will assist residents with licensing and identification services, ensuring compliance with state regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Issue learner’s permits, driver licenses, and state identity cards following established procedures.
• Convert out‑of‑state licenses and assist newcomers with credential transitions.
• Administer written and road tests for first‑time drivers.
• Handle high‑volume customer interactions, including irate customers, slip‑and‑fall incidents, and medical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records and process transactions quickly and precisely.
• May serve as a team lead for lower‑level staff, providing guidance and support.
