IAM Senior Intern (Cybersecurity Focus)

About the role

HCSC offers a ten-week paid Early Careers internship in Identify & Access Management (IAM), open to candidates in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX. The intern works with cross-functional business and technical teams, learns the organization's processes, programs and technologies, and takes increasing ownership of assigned deliverables under the guidance of a mentor and manager.

Key responsibilities

• Own parts of project work and deliverables with mentor and manager guidance
• Research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations for real business decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support initiatives that improve business outcomes and the member and client experience
• Deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership covering the project, results and recommendations
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity and other compliance policies

Required profile

• Pursuing a master's degree or higher in management information systems, information technology, information security or computer science (other related fields with comparable experience may be considered)
• Graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Full-time availability for the 10-week program
• Unrestricted work authorization in the United States; sponsorship is not available
• Preferred: interest in cybersecurity, cyber investigations and Capture the Flag or similar competitions

• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• PC skills, especially Office 365 and collaboration tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint

• Base pay of $22.54 - $40.31, varying with skills, experience and location
