About the role
The Human Resources Specialist III – Employee Relations supports Texas A&M AgriLife Research by managing employee relations activities, ensuring compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and organizational values. The role serves as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors, helping to resolve workplace issues and promote a positive work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Employee Relations Manager in implementing and administering employee relations functions.
- Provide confidential guidance to employees and supervisors on performance improvement, disciplinary actions, terminations, and other personnel matters.
- Conduct impartial investigations of complaints and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Develop and deliver training for managers on documentation, communication, equity, and policy compliance.
- Analyze employee relations trends and propose proactive policy enhancements.
- Prepare and review documentation for personnel actions, ensuring state and federal compliance.
Required profile
- Experience in employee relations, investigations, and HR policy enforcement.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state labor regulations.
- Excellent judgment and discretion when advising management.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Required skills
- Proficiency in HR information systems for tracking investigations and documentation.
- Strong written communication for drafting policies, training materials, and investigative reports.
