Human Resources Consultant – Staff Recruiter

About the role

The University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking a collaborative, service‑oriented Human Resources Consultant to serve as the lead Staff Recruiter for the School of Medicine. Reporting to the Director of Recruitment and working closely with the University Recruitment Center of Expertise, the role provides full‑cycle recruitment support for staff positions across the School.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers, HR partners and department leadership to develop and execute recruitment strategies.
• Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process, from job posting and candidate sourcing to interviewing, reference checks and offer coordination.
• Develop proactive sourcing plans, maintain talent pipelines, and represent the School at career fairs and networking events.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and applicable employment regulations throughout the hiring process.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance recruitment efficiency and candidate experience.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in full‑cycle staff recruitment, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting.
• Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and provide consultative guidance.
• Knowledge of university recruitment policies and relevant employment regulations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
