HR Generalist (US People Advisor)

About the role

Gravity Global is a global marketing consultancy with offices across the US, Europe and APAC. It is hiring a People Advisor (HR Generalist) to support its people experience in the United States as the business grows. The role covers day-to-day HR operations, supports managers and employees across the employee lifecycle, and promotes global policies and initiatives in a way that fits local needs. It is a hands-on, people-facing role combining HR foundations, local employment law knowledge and a focus on employee experience and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Give practical, people-focused HR guidance to managers and employees on onboarding, performance, wellbeing and ways of working
• Support employee relations so issues are handled consistently, fairly and in line with policy and local law
• Support end-to-end HR operations in the US, including onboarding, lifecycle changes, promotions and offboarding
• Apply federal and local employment law to day-to-day people matters and identify and escalate risks early
• Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and contribute to AI initiatives and process improvements
• Work with the Global People team and adapt global initiatives to local needs, sharing lessons learned
• Support campaigns and materials for global People initiatives, including town halls and FAQs, and represent the country in agency-wide initiatives

Required profile

• 4-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or Senior HR Advisor
• Strong experience with US federal employment law and comfort with state and local laws
• Experience managing the employee lifecycle and handling employee relations cases
• Desirable: exposure to global stakeholders or a matrix organisation; professional services, marketing or agency background

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of US employment law and HR compliance
• Excellent spoken and written communication, able to adapt to different audiences and cultures
• Ability to turn complex information into clear, practical guidance
• Organisation, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Relationship building and collaboration across teams, time zones and seniority levels
