Housekeeper 3 – State of Georgia (Columbus, GA)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Housekeeper 3 to maintain cleanliness and order in its facilities located in Columbus, GA. Under direct supervision, you will ensure a safe, sanitary environment for staff and visitors while managing supplies and linen services.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and straighten assigned areas, maintaining high standards of sanitation.
• Collect, sort, launder, transport, and distribute linens and uniforms.
• Perform minor repairs, mend linens, and assist with preventative maintenance.
• Observe safety protocols when disposing of contaminated waste.
• Operate hand tools and participate in the alteration of clothing and linens.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience as a lead worker in a related area or as a Housekeeper 2 (or equivalent).
• Combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Preference for candidates with experience in floor buffing and waxing.
