About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a Housekeeper 2 to join the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in Augusta. This full‑time position supports the cleanliness and sanitation of state facilities, ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain order, sanitation, and cleanliness across assigned facilities.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal.
- Restock and manage cleaning supplies as needed.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
Required profile
- At least one (1) year of experience in a related housekeeping or custodial role.
- Or one (1) year of experience as a Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or equivalent position.
- Ability to work under general supervision and follow established procedures.
