Household Manager with Meal Prep Support (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Household Manager to support a busy family of five in Glencoe, Illinois. The role is part‑time (15‑20 hours per week) and includes meal‑prep assistance, errands, pet care, and overall home organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain household organization systems, tidy rooms daily, and prepare spaces for deep‑cleaning services.
• Plan and prep healthy meals, manage kitchen inventory, and ensure dietary restrictions are followed.
• Run errands such as grocery shopping, dry‑cleaning drops, and restock household supplies.
• Care for two dogs – walking, feeding, and escorting to grooming appointments.
• Support family logistics: fuel and clean vehicles, occasional child‑related driving, and help children complete chores.
• Oversee seasonal projects, outdoor space maintenance, and supervise service providers (handymen, landscapers, etc.).

Required profile

• Organized, detail‑oriented and able to work independently without constant direction.
• Trustworthy with family finances and responsible when using a credit card for purchases.
• Flexible and adaptable, able to pivot when unexpected tasks arise.
• Comfortable around pets and experienced with dog care.
• Proactive self‑starter who anticipates needs and manages multiple tasks efficiently.
