Household Manager – Housekeeping & Meal Prep

About the role

We are seeking a Household Manager with a focus on housekeeping and meal preparation for a busy family of two adults and a middle‑school child in Jacksonville, FL. This part‑time role offers 20‑25 hours per week, flexible scheduling, and $28‑$32 per hour. Responsibilities include maintaining a smoke‑free home, laundry, deep cleaning, meal planning, errands, and occasional childcare.

Key responsibilities

• Household organization and daily tidying (dishes, surfaces, high‑traffic vacuuming).
• Weekly deep cleaning of bathrooms, floors, and other areas to high standards.
• Full laundry management, including special garment care and linen rotation.
• Meal planning, grocery shopping, and preparation of 2–3 family dinners per week plus snack support.
• Inventory control, restocking pantry/fridge, handling household orders and returns.
• Occasional vehicle maintenance scheduling and coordination of home repairs or vendor services.
• Light childcare assistance, emergency pick‑up/drop‑off, and occasional evening babysitting after trust is established.

• Enjoys creating order and maintaining consistent routines in a busy household.
• Self‑directed, proactive and able to work independently without constant supervision.
• Kind, positive and comfortable around children, with good judgment for stepping in when needed.
• Clear communicator who flags issues early and provides respectful feedback.
