Household Manager & Family Assistant – Vermont

About the role

We are recruiting experienced, reliable, and proactive Household Managers and Family Assistants to support families throughout Vermont. The role focuses on keeping homes running smoothly through organization, light home care, family logistics, and meal support, with occasional childcare duties as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Daily home reset: light tidying, kitchen clean‑up, and organizing common spaces.
• Manage household inventory, restock groceries, pantry staples, and supplies.
• Organize closets, playrooms, mudrooms, paperwork and seasonal rotations.
• Coordinate with cleaners, vendors, deliveries and home‑maintenance providers.
• Handle returns, errands, post‑office, pharmacy pickups, and online orders.
• Plan and prep simple, healthy meals, assist with weekly meal planning and grocery shopping.
• Pack snacks or lunches for school‑aged children and support family scheduling, school forms, appointments, and travel preparation.
• Provide optional childcare support such as school or activity pickups, occasional date‑night assistance, and engaging children in crafts or outdoor play.

Required profile

• Organized, dependable and proactive with the ability to anticipate needs.
• Calm under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities.
• Warm, respectful and able to build trust with adults and children.
• Tech‑comfortable using tools like Google Calendar and shared family apps.
• Reliable transportation, eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass a background check.
• Can maintain a smoke‑free environment and be vaccinated if requested by the family.
