Household Manager & Family Assistant – Organization & Meal Prep

About the role

This part‑time position supports a busy family of five by keeping the home organized, handling meal‑prep tasks, and managing daily household logistics. You will work on‑site Monday‑Friday for 3‑4 hours each day, ensuring the kitchen, laundry, and high‑traffic areas run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Order, receive, and stock groceries across multiple refrigerators and freezers.
• Wash, chop, and prep fresh produce for family meals.
• Maintain clean, organized kitchen surfaces and reset counters daily.
• Manage laundry – wash, fold, and organize clothes and linens; occasional ironing.
• Perform light tidying, dishwashing, vacuuming, and toy organization.
• Execute seasonal swaps of clothing, décor, and bedding; coordinate donation drop‑offs.
• Handle deep‑cleaning projects such as refrigerator, oven, baseboards, and area‑rug cleaning.
• Support family calendar, process school papers, scan receipts, and prepare backpacks.
• Provide pet care – feed the dog, let it out, schedule vet/grooming appointments.
• Oversee household vendors, cleaners, and minor home‑maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Highly organized, self‑directed, and able to prioritize tasks without constant supervision.
• Warm, approachable, and comfortable working around young children and a dog while respecting professional boundaries.
• Reliable transportation with mileage reimbursement for errands; smoke‑free environment preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification and current vaccinations are a plus.
