Household Manager & Family Assistant – Marin County

About the role

We are actively recruiting experienced, reliable, and proactive House Managers & Family Assistants to support families across Marin County, California. The role focuses on keeping households running smoothly through organization, light home care, family logistics, and meal support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily home reset tasks such as light tidying, kitchen clean‑up, and organizing common spaces.
• Manage household inventory, including groceries, pantry staples, and supplies, and handle restocking.
• Organize closets, playrooms, mudrooms, paperwork, and seasonal rotations.
• Coordinate with cleaners, vendors, deliveries, and home‑maintenance providers.
• Plan and prep simple, healthy family meals, assist with weekly meal planning, and handle grocery shopping.
• Pack snacks or lunches for school‑aged children and support family scheduling, school forms, appointments, and travel preparation.
• Provide optional childcare support such as school or activity pickups, occasional date‑night assistance, and engaging children in crafts or outdoor play.

Required profile

• Organized, dependable, and proactive with the ability to anticipate family needs.
• Calm under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities, and able to maintain a smoke‑free, vaccinated environment when requested.
• Warm, respectful, and capable of building trust with both adults and children.
• Tech‑comfortable using tools like Google Calendar, Amazon ordering, and shared family apps.
• Reliable transportation, eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass a background check.
