Household Manager & Family Assistant – Illinois

About the role

We are looking for experienced, reliable, and proactive Household Managers & Family Assistants to support families across Illinois. The role focuses on keeping homes running smoothly through organization, light home care, family logistics, and meal support, with occasional childcare when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily home reset: light tidying, kitchen clean‑up, and organizing common spaces.
• Manage household inventory, restock groceries, pantry staples, and supplies.
• Organize closets, playrooms, mudrooms, paperwork, and seasonal rotations.
• Coordinate with cleaners, vendors, deliveries, and home‑maintenance providers.
• Handle returns, errands, post‑office, pharmacy pickups, and online orders.
• Plan and prep simple, healthy family meals or assist with weekly meal planning.
• Shop for groceries and keep fridge/pantry organized.
• Pack snacks or lunches for school‑aged children when required.
• Assist with family scheduling, school forms, appointments, and travel preparation.
• Provide optional childcare support such as school or activity pickups and occasional date‑night or afternoon care.

Required profile

• Organized, dependable, and proactive with the ability to anticipate needs.
• Calm under pressure and comfortable adapting to changing priorities.
• Warm, respectful, and able to build trust with both adults and children.
• Tech‑comfortable, reliable transportation, eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass a background check.
• Maintain a smoke‑free environment and be vaccinated if requested by the family.
