Household Manager & Family Assistant – Connecticut

About the role

We are looking for experienced, reliable, and proactive individuals to support families across Connecticut. The role combines household management, light home care, family logistics, and occasional childcare to keep homes running smoothly and create a calm, welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily home resets, including light tidying, kitchen clean‑up, and organization of common areas.
• Manage household inventory such as groceries, pantry staples, and supplies, and handle restocking.
• Organize closets, playrooms, mudrooms, paperwork, and seasonal rotations.
• Coordinate with cleaners, vendors, delivery services, and home‑maintenance providers.
• Handle returns, errands, post‑office tasks, pharmacy pickups, and online orders.
• Plan and prep simple, healthy family meals, assist with weekly meal planning, and organize the fridge/pantry.
• Shop for groceries, pack snacks or lunches for school‑aged children when needed.
• Support family scheduling, school forms, appointments, and travel preparation.
• Provide optional childcare support such as school or activity pickups, occasional date‑night care, and engaging children in crafts or outdoor play.

Required profile

• Organized, dependable, and proactive with the ability to anticipate family needs.
• Calm under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities, and able to create trust with adults and children.
• Warm, respectful demeanor and professional communication style.
• Tech‑comfortable, experienced with tools like Google Calendar and shared family apps.
• Reliable transportation, eligible to work in the United States, and able to pass a background check.
• Maintain a smoke‑free environment and be vaccinated against flu and COVID‑19 if requested by the family.
