Household Manager & Family Assistant (Childcare Focus)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Household Manager and Family Assistant to support a busy family of three school‑age children and two senior French Bulldogs in Mount Pleasant, SC. The role blends childcare, meal preparation, laundry, and overall home organization to keep the household running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up children from school on Wednesdays and Thursdays and provide direct supervision and assistance with chores.
• Collaborate on meal planning, prep ingredients for three home‑cooked dinners per week, stock snacks, and handle grocery shopping.
• Manage laundry, including washing, folding, special garment care, sheet changes, and dry‑cleaning coordination.
• Maintain existing organizational systems, perform daily resets, light tidying, and seasonal clothing swaps.
• Oversee household inventory, restock pantry and supplies, handle returns, and manage mail and packages.
• Perform periodic deep cleans, organize toys and gear, and maintain indoor plants and minor home maintenance.
• Care for two dogs – regular walks, medication, vet appointments, and supply management.
• Coordinate with vendors such as housekeepers, landscapers, pool service, and arrange repair quotes.
• Support family calendar using Skylight and Cozy apps, research travel, and track household expenses.

Required profile

• Playful, creative, nurturing, and comfortable handling household tasks.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to spot and address needs before they become issues.
• Strong communication, respects family rhythms, and can work independently as a self‑starter.
• Flexible to accommodate school pickups, occasional evenings, weekends, and date‑night support.
• Authorized to work in the United States, reliable transportation, and CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
