House Manager with Childcare and Meal Prep Support

About the role

This part‑time position supports a busy family of five in Carmel, Indiana. You will manage daily household operations, provide childcare, and assist with meal preparation while ensuring a calm, organized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2‑3 dinners per week, batch‑prep breakfast items, and handle grocery shopping and kitchen cleanup.
• Transport children to school and after‑school activities, oversee homework, and maintain organized play areas.
• Maintain household systems: daily resets, light tidying, seasonal clothing swaps, pantry organization, and basic home maintenance (changing batteries, light bulbs, etc.).
• Run errands such as restocking supplies, dry‑cleaning, gift shopping, and handling mail and packages.
• Manage laundry for children, with potential expansion to full household laundry.
• Care for two large golden retrievers, including feeding and occasional vet or grooming transport.

Required profile

• Proactive, organized, and detail‑oriented with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems independently.
• Comfortable around children and large dogs, able to enforce household rules with warmth and firmness.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Preferred CPR and First Aid certification and prior experience as a nanny or household manager.
