House Manager & Family Assistant with Meal Prep Support

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, trustworthy House Manager & Family Assistant to keep our busy Main Line home running smoothly while supporting our two 7‑year‑old twins and our energetic 95‑lb dog. The role blends household organization, childcare, meal preparation, and occasional travel support.

Key responsibilities

• Morning school drop‑offs and afternoon pick‑ups, plus reliable presence for the children before and after school.
• After‑school support: snacks, homework help, activity drop‑offs, and preparing backpacks.
• Evening childcare and occasional overnight stays when parents travel.
• Maintain household organization (closets, pantry, toys) and keep all areas tidy.
• Manage seasonal swaps, donations, and coordinate service providers.
• Stock pantry, fridge, and household items; create shopping lists and place online orders.
• Run errands such as returns, dry cleaning, and package handling.
• Plan weekly healthy meals, prep and cook dinner three times a week, pack school lunches, and keep the kitchen clean.
• Full laundry care for clothing, bedding, and towels; steam or prep clothes as needed.
• Daily dog walks, feeding, and occasional transport to daycare.
• Deep‑clean appliances, refresh mudroom/entryways, and assist with seasonal décor.
• Assist with travel planning, event coordination, and gift purchasing.

Required profile

• Proactive, reliable, and able to anticipate family needs.
• Warm, dependable, and respectful of family routines.
• Comfortable around a large, well‑behaved dog.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Smoke‑free environment and up‑to‑date vaccinations.
• Willing to undergo background check.
• Lives within 30 minutes of Bryn Mawr.
