House Manager & Family Assistant (with Light Childcare)

About the role

We are seeking a highly seasoned House Manager & Family Assistant to keep our Santa Monica home running smoothly while providing light childcare support. The role is part‑time, 20–30 hours per week, with occasional evenings and travel flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reliable backup for school pickups, activity drop‑offs and light after‑school supervision.
• Maintain household organization systems, perform daily resets, and oversee vendors and the second‑property upkeep.
• Manage pantry, fridge, and household supply inventories; handle grocery shopping, meal prep, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Care for two small dogs, schedule vet and grooming appointments, and assist with walking as needed.
• Coordinate vehicle fueling, maintenance scheduling, and keep the family Google Calendar accurate.

Required profile

• Seasoned house manager with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach who can anticipate family needs.
• Comfortable working with school‑age children (ages 8 and 11) and dogs.
• Authorized to work in the United States, reliable transportation, and up‑to‑date vaccinations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite, especially Google Calendar.
• Experience with household automation systems.
