House Manager & Family Assistant (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive House Manager and Family Assistant to keep our busy Severna Park household running smoothly. The role is part‑time, 20‑25 hours per week, with a focus on organization, child support, and meal preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare snacks, chop produce, and assist with simple meal prep for the family.
• Manage weekly grocery shopping (in‑person and online) and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Support children with school pickups, after‑school supervision, and daily backpack, clothing, and lunch preparation.
• Maintain household organization systems, handle light tidying, laundry, and pet care.
• Coordinate vendor visits, property maintenance reminders, and vehicle upkeep.
• Track household expenses, restock supplies, and handle returns or dry‑cleaning.

Required profile

• Warm, engaging personality with a genuine comfort around children.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to anticipate household needs without micromanagement.
• Reliable transportation, smoke‑free and fragrance‑free environment, and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Up‑to‑date on recommended vaccinations; CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic kitchen skills for preparing straightforward, kid‑friendly meals.
• Ability to use personal vehicle for mileage‑reimbursed errands.

What we offer

• Hourly pay of $30‑$35 based on experience.
• Mileage reimbursement for use of a personal vehicle.
