House Manager / Family Assistant

About the role

We are a busy, warm family seeking a proactive House Manager / Family Assistant to keep our home organized, support daily routines, and provide occasional childcare. The role is part‑time, Monday‑Friday, with flexible hours and occasional evening support.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain household organization systems, perform daily resets, and prepare the home for cleaners.
• Handle light tidying, dishes, surfaces, vacuuming, and minor maintenance such as changing batteries and light bulbs.
• Manage laundry, linen rotation, and special garment care.
• Restock pantry, fridge, household and pet supplies; run errands including dry cleaning and donation drop‑offs.
• Provide light supervision and backup childcare, prepare school lunches and snacks, and occasional evening coverage.
• Prepare batch and fresh dinners three times per week, following dietary preferences and family recipes.
• Perform occasional deep cleans of appliances and organize toys, gear, and seasonal items.
• Schedule vehicle maintenance, handle fueling and cleaning, and coordinate with household vendors.

Required profile

• Warm, friendly, and comfortable around children and a cat.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks independently.
• Reliable transportation for errands and ability to navigate multiple flights of stairs.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to maintain a smoke‑free, fragrance‑free environment.
