House Manager and Family Assistant (Meal Prep Support)

About the role

We are a busy, warm, active household with three young children and two working parents. We need a reliable house manager and family assistant to maintain the daily flow, handle household resets, laundry, meal support, and occasional child‑related tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Reset kitchen and living spaces daily, clean surfaces and high‑traffic areas.
• Vacuum, maintain mudroom, entryway, garage, and manage general upkeep (batteries, bulbs, smoke detectors).
• Wash, fold, organize laundry and rotate linens and bedding.
• Support meal planning and light preparation for about four dinners per week, including grocery shopping and pantry restocking.
• Manage household inventory, run supply lists, handle returns, dry‑cleaning pickups, and occasional gift shopping.
• Perform occasional deep cleans (oven, baseboards, fridge) and organize projects such as toy closets or gear storage.
• Provide light backup supervision for children and occasional date‑night coverage.
• Track receipts and budgets for errands and coordinate with the twice‑monthly cleaning team.

Required profile

• Proactive, detail‑oriented and enjoys taking initiative without direction.
• Highly organized with strong time‑management skills and a positive, can‑do attitude.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to a varied daily rhythm.
• Enjoys being around young children and can provide occasional child‑related assistance.
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to maintain a smoke‑free, fragrance‑free environment.
• Up‑to‑date on recommended vaccinations as required.
