Hotel Engineer / Maintenance Technician

About the role

Hilton Long Island/Huntington is looking for a dependable Hotel Engineer/Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, public areas and building systems operating safely and efficiently. This hands‑on position involves troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance to support the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces and back‑of‑house areas.
• Troubleshoot and fix basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting and mechanical issues.
• Respond promptly to guest‑room maintenance requests and complete preventive‑maintenance inspections.
• Assist with heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic water systems, pools and fitness facilities.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping to minimize room downtime and maintain accurate work‑order records.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel, commercial‑building, apartment or property‑maintenance environments preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team and on flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable attendance.
