Hospital Medicine Nocturnist

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join the nocturnist team at Ochsner Rush in Meridian, MS. This full‑time night‑shift position provides hospital medicine care across a 215‑bed facility with an ICU and LTAC unit.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ICU rounds, manage intubations and run codes.
• Place and manage central lines and other invasive lines.
• Oversee a nightly census of 35‑40 patients, addressing acute issues as needed.
• Utilize telemedicine services for critical access hospitals.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Willingness to work night shifts (6 pm – 6 am) on a 7‑on/7‑off block schedule.
• Eligibility for J‑1 visa sponsorship if required.
