Home Textile Designer

About the role

PEM-America is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Designer in New York to create innovative home textile designs that align with brand vision and client specifications. The role involves close collaboration with product development, sourcing, and external partners to bring fresh, market‑driven collections to life.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop seasonal mood and trend boards for home textiles.
• Create artwork, technical specifications and repeat patterns using design software.
• Revise designs based on feedback and prepare final files for sampling and production.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including sourcing and product development, to ensure designs meet quality and timeline requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in home, apparel or fashion design.
• Strong understanding of color theory, pattern creation and current design trends.
• Excellent time‑management, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
