Head of Treasury Strategy & Transformation

About the role

Anthropic’s Treasury team safeguards and deploys the company’s capital. As the organization scales, the Treasury function faces increasing complexity, requiring strategic leadership. Reporting to the Treasurer, the Head of Treasury Strategy & Transformation will define direction, build capabilities, and drive cross‑functional initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex cross‑functional strategic initiatives for Treasury, such as establishing an in‑house bank, creating cash‑forecasting discipline, or supporting capital raises.
• Build Treasury’s AI tooling using Claude to create dashboards and automations that increase speed and precision.
• Consolidate and optimise banking relationships, creating a single view of engagements and identifying optimisation opportunities.
• Lead Treasury integration for M&A acquisitions, acting as primary contact for due‑diligence and integration work.
• Establish operating cadence to keep recurring obligations on time, ensuring compliance with debt, SOX and other regular requirements.
• Design and automate cross‑functional deliverables, such as Treasury dashboards for the CFO and audit‑committee materials.

Required profile

• Corporate Treasury experience across multiple disciplines (cash management, liquidity, banking, debt, investments, or risk).
• Proven track record of managing and delivering complex Treasury‑related projects across functions.
• Hands‑on proficiency with AI tools and process automation.
• Strong communication abilities and demonstrated capacity to build internal and external relationships.
