About the role

Cape is building America’s most private and secure mobile carrier and needs a senior HR leader to own the talent strategy as the company scales from 100 to over 300 employees. Reporting directly to the founder and CEO, you will shape the People organization, drive recruiting, retention, and culture while maintaining the high‑trust environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale a recruiting engine that attracts top talent, optimizing capacity, tooling, and business partnerships.
• Elevate employee experience to achieve high retention, viral referrals, and continuous engagement through total rewards, people systems, and career progression.
• Plan and execute the transition from a 100‑person team to a 300‑plus organization, refining structure, formalizing career advancement, and retooling performance reviews.
• Professionalize management practices, automate processes, establish clear career paths, and launch a management training program.

Required profile

• 10+ years progressive People experience, including 3‑5 years in a leadership role with direct recruiting responsibility.
• Proven track record building People processes and teams in a high‑growth startup.
• Strong command of talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, and daily HR operations.
• Experience partnering with executive and business unit leaders across the organization.
