About the role
We are seeking a Head of Manufacturing to lead our machine shop, overseeing all in‑house part production, from fixturing and toolpaths to overall shop organization. The position is full‑time, onsite at our Minden, Nevada office, with regular travel to test ranges across the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain fixturing, toolpaths, tooling, and overall shop organization.
- Design and machine custom fixtures for various parts.
- Set up toolholders, tool offsets, and work offsets for CNC operations.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure parts are optimized for manufacturability.
Required profile
- Several years of experience managing a full‑size CNC environment.
- Proficiency with a 3‑axis CNC machine.
- Extensive experience using Fusion 360 for CAD and CAM.
- Background in a machine shop or a rapid‑iteration manufacturing setting.
Required skills
- CNC management and operation.
- 3‑axis CNC programming.
- Fusion 360 CAD/CAM expertise.
- Custom fixture design.
- Toolholder and offset setup.
