Mechanical Engineer – Counter‑UAS Turret Development

About the role

Sentradel is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its counter‑UAS team in Minden, Nevada. You will help develop the next‑generation autonomous turret system that protects against small FPV and low‑flying drones. The role is full‑time, onsite, with frequent travel to test ranges across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Redesign and optimise components of the current turret to reduce manufacturing time, cost and complexity.
• Design new components for the next product generation.
• Create part and assembly models using Fusion 360.
• Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs remain manufacturable and iterate quickly.

Required profile

• Substantial experience with part design and 3‑D modelling in Fusion 360.
• Experience designing parts machined on a 3‑axis CNC, primarily in aluminium.
• Experience with additive manufacturing processes.
• Deep understanding of design‑for‑manufacturability, including CNC versus additive trade‑offs.
• Must be a US Person as defined under ITAR (US citizen, green‑card holder, refugee or asylee).
