Head of Machine Learning – Application Fraud

About the role

As Head of Machine Learning – Application Fraud at SentiLink, you will lead a growing team of data scientists building fraud detection and identity verification models that protect millions of consumers and financial institutions daily.

Key responsibilities

• Directly manage and scale a team of 2‑3 data scientists to 5‑6, providing technical mentorship and guidance.
• Lead planning, resourcing, and communication with senior leadership, product, and engineering teams.
• Develop, productionalize, and monitor fraud detection models across the full ML lifecycle.
• Research emerging fraud patterns and create new identity‑verification products.
• Write production‑ready code for real‑time decision making and present analyses that shape product and risk strategies.

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s (or 7+ years with a PhD) in a quantitative field.
• 4‑7 years of experience managing data‑science teams, preferably in a fast‑moving startup.
• 3+ years of startup experience and a proven record of solving high‑impact business problems with ML.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
