Head of IT — Connected Care

About the role

The Head of IT for Connected Care is the most senior IT leader embedded in Philips’ Connected Care business unit, overseeing patient monitoring, clinical decision support, telehealth and hospital workflow solutions. Reporting to the Group CIO and working closely with the BU CEO, the role defines and executes the end‑to‑end IT strategy, delivery and operations for the unit.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver the BU’s IT strategy aligned with commercial targets, clinical innovation and the Group’s AI & Data Factory, Platform Operations and Digital Product Engineering pillars.
• Lead the AI & Data agenda, building a BU‑centric AI team, governing the data estate and integrating AI use cases into products and IT operations.
• Govern the IT portfolio, ensuring stability of mission‑critical patient monitoring systems while driving transformation programs on time and budget.
• Own the BU’s participation in the SAP S/4 transformation, subscription‑based processes and service logistics.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships for clinical IT, interoperability and cloud/edge infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, MDR, HIPAA, HL7 FHIR and IHE standards, and maintain the BU’s cybersecurity posture.

Required profile

• Proven senior IT leadership experience in a regulated healthcare or medical‑device environment.
• Track record of delivering large‑scale digital transformation, including SAP S/4, cloud‑to‑edge architectures and AI/ML initiatives.
• Strong ability to align IT strategy with business, clinical and commercial goals.
• Experience building and scaling high‑performance technology teams.

Required skills

• SAP S/4 implementation and process design.
• Salesforce and Workday enterprise platforms.
• Cloud platforms and edge computing (AWS, Azure, GCP or equivalent).
• AI/ML development, MLOps and LLMOps tooling.
• Healthcare interoperability standards: HL7 FHIR, IHE profiles.
• Regulatory compliance: FDA, MDR, HIPAA.
• Cybersecurity and medical‑device security best practices.
