Head of Finance

About the role

Lassie is looking for its first finance hire to build the company’s financial operations from the ground up. Working directly with the CEO and an experienced advisor, you will shape the finance function as the business scales its AI‑native solutions for doctors’ offices.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and own reporting of key metrics such as ACV, ARR, net dollar retention, churn and payback period.
• Build and maintain a financial operating model with scenario planning and trade‑off visibility.
• Ensure an accurate, timely monthly close and deliver actionable financial statements.
• Own the full FP&A cycle: budgeting, quarterly actuals and monthly reporting.
• Serve as the CEO’s primary finance partner for future fundraises.
• Build scalable AI‑native finance infrastructure across accounting, forecasting, spend management and payroll.
• Lead strategic finance projects including pricing, sales commission design and revenue operations foundations.

Required profile

• Created operating models, scenario plans and unit economics from scratch in a startup environment and can defend assumptions at board level.
• Hands‑on operator who has closed books, managed vendors and run payroll.
• Translates complex financial data into clear insights for non‑finance audiences and presents confidently to founders, board members and investors.
• Proven track record implementing finance systems and building processes from the ground up, knowing when to upgrade tools.
• Designed or built AI‑native workflows for finance tasks, or has a strong instinct for AI‑driven automation.
