Hardware Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Hardware Engineer to lead the design, development, and production of custom space electronics for its Phoenix, AZ facility. You will work on high‑profile programs such as NASA’s Artemis Orion Crew Capsule and the Viper Lunar Rover, delivering reliable hardware for space and defense missions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers on space electronics projects.
• Lead cross‑functional and cross‑site engineering teams through development, qualification, and production phases.
• Manage project budget, schedule, risk, and scope while ensuring technical execution.
• Derive and allocate product requirements, coordinate verification activities, and document results.
• Author engineering analyses, test procedures, and review reports.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic failures down to component level using laboratory equipment.
• Lead Failure Review Board meetings and drive root‑cause and corrective‑action efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electronic systems, including PCBA design, embedded microprocessor/FPGA/ASIC development, or space‑vehicle integration.
• Proven track record of leading technical projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
