Handbag Designer – Other Brands

About the role

We are looking for a creative Handbag Designer to join our New York team. The role blends strategic thinking across media platforms with hands‑on creation, from concept inception to final production. You will work both independently and collaboratively, spending three days in the office and two days remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Support trend research for seasonal decks and special projects, keeping imagery files updated with trackable references.
• Translate trends into concepts that meet business needs such as price points and geographic considerations.
• Generate presentations, idea boards, and concept decks for sales teams, including updates on emerging brands and influencers.
• Maintain color, sketch, trim, and material libraries by brand.
• Produce sketches, color ups, and art ideas for each style required.
• Create mock‑ups, tech packs, and CAD drawings for design projects.
• Manage color and trim approvals, communicating critical dates with team and suppliers.
• Develop SKU‑level designs from conception through sample approval and present to the Design Director.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in handbag and accessories design.
• Strong technical knowledge of production techniques and supplier collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clear presentation abilities and the capacity to build concepts, CADs, and mock‑ups.
• Superb time‑management skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with multiple projects and strict deadlines.
