Hadoop & PySpark Data Engineer (Technology Consultant 2)

About the role

Infosys Financial Services is seeking a Hadoop and PySpark Data Engineer to join its technology consulting team in Charlotte. You will work on data‑intensive projects that enable financial institutions to leverage AI, cloud and big‑data solutions for improved decision‑making and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements as part of the elicitation process.
• Facilitate design discussions and capture architectural decisions for software solutions.
• Develop, test and integrate new features into existing big‑data applications, ensuring system stability.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories and apply necessary changes.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyze outcomes and coordinate bug‑fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support frameworks for smooth application roll‑outs.
• Diagnose production issues, propose preventive measures and enhance system reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive records of code, testing techniques and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative spirit with excellent communication abilities.
• Proven experience handling end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
