Group Financial Controller, Americas

About the role

The Group Financial Controller, Americas will be based in Edenton, North Carolina and serve as a pivotal finance leader for a rapidly growing manufacturing and government‑contracting organization. Reporting to the President Americas and partnering with the global finance team, the role will establish financial controls, reporting frameworks and commercial discipline to support continued expansion in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for US operations.
• Manage contract accounting and project financial performance for a strategic government contract.
• Oversee manufacturing costing, margin analysis and cost optimization.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, performance dashboards and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ensure governance, regulatory compliance and risk management across the region.
• Partner with operational and executive leaders to provide commercial insight and decision support.
• Drive financial systems enhancements, process improvements and scalability initiatives.
• Develop the future US finance function and build financial capability for growth.

Required profile

• Commercially minded finance leader with hands‑on experience in manufacturing, engineering, government contracting, construction, defense or similar project‑based environments.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting and business performance reporting.
• Expertise in project and contract accounting, manufacturing costing and margin management.
• Experience implementing financial controls, governance frameworks and robust reporting disciplines.
• Strong business partnering skills with senior operational leaders.
