Groundskeeper / Porter for Summerhouse Community

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of the Summerhouse community in Lakewood Ranch. You will ensure common areas, amenities, and the overall curb appeal meet Greystar’s high standards while supporting the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings, and keep all common areas tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist with apartment turn‑overs.
• Change locks according to policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents accurately.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl as needed.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean, safe environment.
