Groundskeeper / Porter – Community Maintenance

About the role

Ensures the physical aspects of the community are maintained, meeting standards for grounds, amenities and overall curb appeal while providing support to service team members.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect community grounds daily to remove litter, debris and pet droppings, keeping common areas neat.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before make‑ready, transport to dumpsters and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests and assist make‑ready specialists as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Change locks per property policy and ensure pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance complaints.
• Follow Greystar safety policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training and report incidents.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with strong customer‑service and multitasking abilities.
• CPO certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and to be on‑call as needed.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb unaided (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
