About the role
The Grants and Contracts Accounting Specialist supports the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs by managing fiscal activities for sponsored grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with sponsor terms, and serving as a liaison between investigators and funding sources.
Key responsibilities
- Perform accounting functions for sponsored grants and contracts.
- Analyze fiscal and project activity against sponsor requirements.
- Communicate with principal investigators and funding agencies to resolve financial issues.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and institutional policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
- At least one year of general accounting experience.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
