Graduate Teaching Assistant – Mechanical Engineering

About the role

The School of Engineering and Engineering Technology seeks a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Spring 2023 semester to support undergraduate instruction in the Mechanical Engineering program. The role combines classroom grading, laboratory assistance, and hands‑on engineering support for facility development.

Key responsibilities

• Grade assignments, exams, and projects for undergraduate Mechanical Engineering courses.
• Provide instructional support for laboratory sessions, including setup, safety oversight, and student guidance.
• Assist with engineering design and fabrication tasks related to program facilities and projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Regular admission to a graduate program at UA Little Rock, or senior status in the BSME program with early entry to the MSME program.

Required skills

• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience with engineering design and fabrication processes.
• Ability to support laboratory instruction and student learning.
