Graduate Fellowship – 12‑Week Research Program (Fall 2027)

About the role

The AIER Graduate Fellowship is a 12‑week, on‑site research program for graduate students who wish to advance a dissertation or thesis project that aligns with AIER’s mission of promoting free enterprise, economic liberty, and sound legal institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a detailed research plan and execute substantive work on your academic project.
• Present progress and findings to AIER staff, visiting scholars, and the broader public.
• Produce written pieces for AIER’s website to disseminate your research.
• Collaborate closely with AIER faculty and mentors to refine methodology and overcome research challenges.

Required profile

• Current graduate student working on a dissertation or thesis.
• Strong interest in AIER’s focus areas such as free markets, property rights, and sound money.
• Willingness to reside on the AIER campus in Great Barrington for the duration of the fellowship.

Required skills

• Research methodology and academic writing.
• Ability to present complex ideas clearly to both academic and general audiences.
