About the role
The AIER Graduate Fellowship is a 12‑week, on‑site research program for graduate students who wish to advance a dissertation or thesis project that aligns with AIER’s mission of promoting free enterprise, economic liberty, and sound legal institutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a detailed research plan and execute substantive work on your academic project.
- Present progress and findings to AIER staff, visiting scholars, and the broader public.
- Produce written pieces for AIER’s website to disseminate your research.
- Collaborate closely with AIER faculty and mentors to refine methodology and overcome research challenges.
Required profile
- Current graduate student working on a dissertation or thesis.
- Strong interest in AIER’s focus areas such as free markets, property rights, and sound money.
- Willingness to reside on the AIER campus in Great Barrington for the duration of the fellowship.
Required skills
- Research methodology and academic writing.
- Ability to present complex ideas clearly to both academic and general audiences.
