About the role
The Graduate Assistant – Non-Teaching will support the Center for Instructional Innovation & Technology Services by maintaining computer labs and providing assistance to faculty, staff, and students on campus. This position offers hands‑on experience with audio‑visual equipment and campus technology facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Assist instructors and students in computer labs and other specialized labs as needed.
- Manage Panther CIC facilities, including the audio studio, podcast studio, and checkout room.
- Supervise and coordinate day‑to‑day tasks of undergraduate student workers.
- Configure audio‑visual equipment for auditoriums and smart classrooms.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the department.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Full‑time enrollment as a graduate student at Prairie View A&M University (minimum credit requirements).
- Good academic standing.
Required skills
- Audio‑visual equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Computer lab management.
