Global Real Estate Construction Manager

About the role

Anthropic’s Global Workplace & Real Estate team is expanding a worldwide portfolio of high‑tech office spaces. The Global Real Estate Construction Manager will own the technical delivery of large‑scale buildouts, guiding projects from pre‑construction through closeout and serving as the primary technical liaison to contractors, design teams, and specialty vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre‑construction activities, including constructibility reviews, design drawing analysis, MEP and structural coordination, estimating support, value engineering, and development of GMP or bid packages.
• Define and own the delivery method and contracting strategy for each project (e.g., GMP, lump sum, CM‑at‑risk, design‑assist) based on scope, schedule, and risk.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications, identifying gaps, conflicts, and risks before field execution.
• Coordinate technically demanding scopes such as commercial kitchens (Type I hoods, make‑up air, grease and UL300 fire‑suppression systems), high‑performance AV and acoustics, server/IDF rooms with redundant power, supplemental cooling, elevated power density, and integrated physical security.
• Manage permitting and inspections across multiple jurisdictions and labor environments.
• Oversee construction execution from mobilization to closeout across concurrent projects, holding general contractors accountable for schedule, budget, safety, and quality.
• Run technical processes that keep jobs on track, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, ASIs, and BIM/clash coordination across trades.

Required profile

• Hands‑on construction leadership experience on complex, large‑scale office buildouts.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of project managers delivering across a global portfolio.
• Direct reporting to senior leadership (Global Head of Real Estate & Workplace) and collaboration with architects and design teams.
