Sr. Construction Project Manager

About the role

The Facilities Management group of the Federal Reserve Bank’s 12th District is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead construction projects that enhance building infrastructure, create innovative office‑space environments, and deliver specialized operational areas at the San Francisco branch.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and communicate project scope to end‑users, partners, and vendors.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, including change orders and amendments.
• Collaborate with Procurement to select consultants and contractors, prepare bid instructions, host bid walks, and evaluate proposals.
• Implement building standards by selecting appropriate fixtures, finishes, and furnishings.
• Lead reviews of drawings and specifications with stakeholders.
• Develop and oversee detailed project schedules using sequencing knowledge.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular status updates to the facility team and stakeholders.
• Coordinate design processes and construction activities, managing vendor access.
• Inspect construction progress to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Oversee all financial aspects, including contracts, invoicing, and change orders.

Required profile

• Proven ability to take ownership of projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Adaptable, versatile and able to assume multiple roles as needed.
• Highly organized with excellent prioritization abilities.
• Self‑starter motivated to drive project success.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 % of the time.
