Global Category Manager – Infrastructure & Construction

About the role

The Global Category Manager – Infrastructure & Construction is the strategic owner of Applied Materials’ capital construction, real‑estate and facilities spend. You will define and execute a global category strategy, manage supplier portfolios and drive value capture, stakeholder experience and risk management across fabs, labs, cleanrooms and office sites worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain a multi‑year global category strategy and roadmap aligned with capital plans and GWI priorities.
• Own the framework for selecting delivery models (EPC, PMC, design‑build, etc.) and guide commercial structures.
• Design and segment the supplier portfolio, lead strategic supplier relationship management and drive rationalisation.
• Partner with project delivery, engineering and finance teams to translate program objectives into sourcing priorities and governance.
• Establish rate‑card databases, benchmark services and steward financial performance through value‑capture initiatives.
