General Manager – Premier NYC Restaurant

About the role

The General Manager is the senior operational leader of Grand Brasserie, a flagship restaurant located in Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal. Reporting to ownership and the Director of Operations, you will safeguard the restaurant’s culture, drive financial performance, and ensure an exceptional guest experience every day.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a high‑performing management team, fostering accountability, professionalism and teamwork.
• Partner with culinary leadership to set strategic direction and maintain operational excellence.
• Oversee all front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house functions, including service, bar, bakery, private events and late‑night operations.
• Manage financial performance, budgeting, cost control and revenue growth.
• Develop future leaders through coaching, training and succession planning.
• Maintain the restaurant’s standards of hospitality, consistency and guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven senior management experience in high‑volume, upscale restaurant or hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to be highly visible on the dining‑room floor.
• Demonstrated ability to drive financial results and operational discipline.
• Passion for developing people and building a collaborative team culture.
• Comfort with fast‑paced environments serving thousands of guests weekly.
